The
Sheila Hollins Award
The award was
first made in March1983 in memory of Sheila, who died January 1st 1983.
At the time of her death, Sheila was the vice-chair of Hospital Radio
Cuckfield and had been an active member since its early days in the mid
70's. Sheila's family set up the award, to reward conscientious effort
and enthusiasm by other members of the station and so upholds the good
example that Sheila set us all.
The award, which
is a silver salver, will be made to the member who is deemed to have contributed
the most to the cause of Mid-Downs Radio over a period of time. You are
asked to nominate the member who you think meets that criteria, stating
briefly why you think the nominee is a worthy candidate for the award.
The nominations should be sent for the attention of the secretary at least
a week before the AGM. If it is found that more than one member has been
nominated for the award, then a secret ballot of the full members at the
meeting will be held
