About me

Gerry Brown hosts Saturday Afternoon Live with Gerry Brown between 12:00 and 2:00.

Gerry plays an engaging and lively blend of music from the 60’s through to the 00’s with a few musical and classical numbers thrown in for good measure.  Gerry likes to link songs together with similar themes and always has an interesting, and not always well-known anecdote or fact, about the artist or the record. He’s a big sports fan and is a lifelong fan of Brighton and Hove Albion and has just been voted onto the BH&A Fan Advisory Boad (FAB). He features quizzes that combine song release years with important football dates such as FA Cup or Champions League winners.

He was born and raised in Brighton and now lives in Lindfield, but also had a 40-year road trip to Canada which accounts for his unrecognisable accent and love of all things Canadian, especially sport and Canadian groups and singers.

He is still active in business and his day job is helping companies improve their customer service and deliver great customer experiences – A job for life! As part of this role, he frequently chairs conference, hosts podcasts and webinars and is a regular speaker at industry events, where he gets to practice his radio voice.

He has been running slowly & socially for over 40 years, still likes to work out regularly with parkruns in Haywards Heath and Hove, and has completed 15 marathons and 20 triathlons, including two Ironman races in Hawaii.

“I’m starting my radio career late in life and I love to bring music to life along with a positive vibe to share with my listeners.”
